The Power of Your No

I was in a situation recently and someone approached me about a service that I was not interested in at the time. They gave their pitch and I said no. There was an awkward silence as I did not offer an explanation. After a few seconds, they asked me why (the audacity was strong with this one).

My answer: No is a complete sentence.

When appropriate, no does not need to…
