The Power of Your No

I was in a situation recently and someone approached me about a service that I was not interested in at the time. They gave their pitch and I said no. There was an awkward silence as I did not offer an explanation. After a few seconds, they asked me why (the audacity was strong with this one).

My answer: No is a complete sentence.

When appropriate, no does not need to substantiated. It’s okay to say no and it’s okay when we are told no.

Our word is our bond. There is sacredness and power in our words that should not be taken lightly.

Your no is just as important as your yes. There is freedom in our willingness to stand firmly in our no.

Remember: No is a complete sentence and should be respected as a boundary.
