One of the greatest keys to outstanding leadership is authenticity. Everyone is a leader in some area of his or her life, even if is not an acknowledged position. Someone is watching you.
Authenticity is being a consistent person with a stable presence, not managed by emotion. It is being humble enough to recognize your weaknesses and failures.
It is not being intimidated by ideas from others and readily listening to thoughts opposite of your own. It is the ability to say you do not know or you need help. Authenticity is the understanding that taking care of people is your greatest achievement. No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care. Once they know, they will go the distance.
Reflective Question: What areas can you work on to start the road or to increase your authenticity quotient?
Reflective Scriptures: 1 Samuel 16:7, Proverbs 28:6
