Natural Hair Journey: 4 Year Anniversary

My natural hair journey is four years old today and I have no regrets!

The first haircut was from the local barber school The plan was to keep it that way for awhile, but I went ahead and started letting it grow out after a few months. Once I made the decision to let it grow, I figured out my hair porosity and type, which is 3C ish 🤣 and high porosity.

My daily routine is the LCO method. L= Liquid, C= Cream, and O= Oil. This is a recent change due to shedding and medication issues. But I recently passed scalp and hair check, so I’m grateful.

Because of my body and hair changes, I’m currently in the process of trying some products from Design Essentials and TGIN. I wash my hair at least once a week. I still deep condition with bentonite clay with ACV to clarify my hair and scalp, but not as often.

Update: During the times that I do not complete the Bentonite clay hair mask, I use: Yes To Tea Tree Scalp Relief Gentle & Soothing PreShampoo. My scalp feels so clean afterwards.

Although I see my hairdresser bi-weekly, I like having ownership of my hair's process; I outsourced it for far too long.

Overall, my results have still been great. I have NO dandruff issues and my scalp is no longer sore! And… I…
