Hey Everyone! Hope you’re doing well. This blog post will cover the completed books of April 2024.

Empowering Yourself Through Inner Child Healing by Zitamae. The book discusses the impact of childhood trauma on adult experiences. Zitamae provides resources to guide you to accepting and loving your true self as well as how to possibly accelerate healing when the healing process has occurred. This book was read through Audible and initially, I changed my mind about reading it, but I am glad that I proceeded. The book was an excellent source of resources and reminders to remember the past but to not stay there. The book also has tangible resources such as mindfulness techniques, breaking cycles, and encouragement to do the work of healing, which is not always a quick work. I recommend this book.

Women Who Work Too Much by Tamu Thomas. The purpose of this book is to assist women on their journey to escape “toxic productivity, build boundaries, avoid burnout, and live with joy.” One of the resonating points of this book was a reminder to know that my value does not lie in what I do, but the value lies in who I am. Our best or highest self is not tied to how much we do or how much we have done. Tamu asks the deep accountability questions that make you say, “ouch.” Questions that point out the lack of love and self care such as “When was the last…
