A Fantastic Voyage Part III: Be Your Biggest Ally and Your Worst Critic

Words have power. We know that the words we use create the world that we live in and our environment.

It is important to identify your words and what you are saying to yourself. In my experience, once you accomplish this, your personal growth will leap and jump forward in ways that you never expected. Once I identified the words that I was speaking to myself through journaling and listening with intention, things begin to change.

Sometimes we do not listen with the intention to truly hear what is being communicated.

In order to truly hear, we have to turn down the background noise of life and that comes in the form of TV, radio, audible books, and the like. We need to get quiet and focus on listening….take a beat. It’s okay and highly encouraged to get quiet and listen on a regular basis.

After identifying the words, the nexr step is to understand how these things are influencing you and stopping you from becoming your greatest ally. Are those things making you think that you’re not good enough or that you have a long way to go? Are those things making you forget about the wonderful things that you’ve witnessed and accomplished in your life? These are important things to address on the way to becoming your worst critic because there are enough critics in the world and honestly, we don’t need…
